Extracted from the nuts of the shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa) that is native to Africa, shea butter is a fatty oil that exists as a solid at room temperature. It gets absorbed quickly into the skin as it melts at body temperature. Its moisturizing and healing properties prove beneficial for many skin issues.

• Keep your Shea Butter in a cool, dry place.
• Raw unrefined Shea Butter ranges in colour - from light ivory to light yellow. It also ranges in scent from mild and earthy to nutty.
• Separation of the product may occur during shipping which would result in a 'patchy' appearance. This does not affect the quality of the butter.
• Using the microwave to melt shea butter is not recommended as this can damage nutritional qualities, it melts easily on skin contact.
